Buddha Park

 

 

Buddha Park, which is calmly located in a little tourist town in the southern part of Sikkim called Ravangla, is unquestionably a "must visit" location for everyone and should be included in your Gangtok Tour Package. This well-known attraction serves as a significant historical landmark for the Buddhist community and was created in honour of Lord Gautama Buddha's 2550th birthday celebration in 2006. Ravangla was also chosen to erect the 130-foot-high statue. This heavenly beauty surrounded by a lush eco system promotes travel tourism in Sikkim. Most of the time, Buddha Park is guarded by maintenance crews and both international and domestic tourists who recognise the monumental attraction of the dedication and its all-encompassing quality. Bon Monastery

 

 

The Bon Monastery, also known as Bon Yung Dung Monastery, is located in Kewzing and offers a beautiful view of the slopes and valleys of southern Sikkim. It is surrounded by natural beauty and peace. It is a stunning location and one of Sikkim's most well-known monasteries. Only two Bon monasteries exist in India; one is located in Kewzing, Sikkim, and the other is in Solan, Himachal Pradesh. The late Yung Dung Tsultrim established this monastery for the first time in 1980.

 

Ralang Monastery

 

 

Ralang Monastery has a history of association with several Sikkimese religious groups. It is without a doubt a fascinating place that every traveller interested in discovering Ravangla's splendour should visit. The first thing that draws visitors in is the religious community's symmetry and charm. The diversity of the thangkas and artistic works on display at Ralang Monastery reflect the depth of Buddhist craftsmanship.

 

Ralong Hot Springs

 

 

In South Sikkim, next to Ravangla, are the Ralong Hot Springs, also known as "Ralang Cha-Chu" by the locals. These picturesquely enhanced sulphurous water pools serve as typical steam saunas, which have a curative effect on a variety of skin illnesses. In addition to this, Ralong Hot Springs also exudes a sense of religiosity due to its proximity to one of Sikkim's hallowed caves. This location is also a trekker's paradise, with a variety of exhilarating trails and stunning views of forested hills all around.

 

Temi Tea Estate

 

 

Built up in the year 1969 by the Government of Sikkim, Temi tea plants are developing along the lofty inclines of the slopes rising up out of the Tendong Hills, extending from 1200 to 1800 m. The 177 hectare spread patio nurseries of Temi create the superior quality tea leaves having global demand. The path to the preparing plant, enroute Tendong Hill, is set apart with very much trimmed cherry blossom trees in the midst of the fields lavish with greenery and munching grasses.
