Itinerary (Day Wise)
Pick up from Srinagar Airport to Srinagar full day sightseeing of Mughal gardens visiting Nishat Bagh (Abode of pleasure), Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love). These beautiful mountains are situated on the bank of Dal Lake with the Zabarwan Mountains in the background. Distance from Srinagar is about 12 and 15 kms respectively. Enroute, visit a carpet weaving factory. Afternoon City Tour visiting Fort, Jamia Masjid, Shah Hamdan Shrine and walk through the naroow streets of Old City, DownTown to experience the living style of local people and evening return to Hotel/HouseBoat for dinner and overnight stay at Hotel/HouseBoat in srinagar.
After breakfast full day excursion of Sonmarg which is one of the most beautiful drive from Srinagar. Sonmarg is at 98 kms from Srinagar. We will take about 3 hours to reach Sonmarg. Sonmarg is the last stop of Kashmir. From here starts the territory of Ladakh. Situated at an altitude of 2743 m above sea level, Sonmarg is absolutely true to its name, which means 'Meadow of Gold'. The moment you enter Sonmarg, the first thing that you will notice will be the snow-covered mountain that forms the backdrop of the town. Covered with alpine trees from all sides, Sonmarg has few of the loveliest flower collection in Jammu and Kashmir. You may take a pony ride to Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains round the year. Return to Srinagar by the evening for overnight stay.
After breakfast checkout from hotel proceed to Gulmarg. Gulmarg is one of the most beautiful resorts in the valley. It is at 52kms from Srinagar. Gulmarg has been a resort for the kings like Yousuf Shah Chak and Jahangir who used to visit frequently. Gulmarg boasts Asia's highest and longest cable car project, the Gulmarg Gondola. The two-stage ropeway ferries about 600 people per hour to and from Kongdoori Mountain, a shoulder of nearby Afarwat Peak (4,200 m (13,780 ft). You can also try skiing on your own. Gulmarg has one of the best ski slopes in the world and also has highest golf course in the world with 18 holes. Later in the evening return back to Hotel dinner and overnight stay in Srinagar hotel.
After breakfast, we drive to Pahalgam via Pampore, Avantipura and the village of Bijbehara which remains famous asthe bread basket of Kashmir. We switch from the national highway 1A at Khanabal and drive through the second largest city of Anantnag. From here the road turns scenic as we drive parallel on the Lidder river flowing from the opposite direction. In Pahalgam, check-in at the hotel and Visit to Chandanwadi (at your own cost), The snow Point(14 Km) at your own cost or enjoy pony ride at your own cost. Return Back to to Pahalgam Check-in at Hotel. Overnight stay at Pahalgam Hotel.
