Itinerary (Day Wise)
Welcome to Bhutan. Upon arrival in Jaigaon, you will be greeted by the tour executives for travel to Bhutan. Today you will do the registraion and bimetric formalities and see Phuentsholing town. Phuentsholing is a border town in southern Bhutan, and isthe administrative seat of Chukha District. Itlies opposite the Indian town of Jaigaon and cross border trade has resulted in a thriving local economy. Phuentsholing had a population of 28,000 as of 2017 and has been growing since then. Evening stroll market and overnight stay.

After breakfast, our representative will assist you with the Bhutan immigration permit formalities before you begin your scenic drive to Thimphu. En route, visit the sacred Zangtopelri Lhakhang and the peaceful Kharbandi Monastery, followed by photo stops at the Chukha Dam View Point, Gedu View Point, and Wankha Waterfall. As you approach Thimphu, pass by the iconic Chuzom Bridge, where the Paro Chhu and Thimphu Chhu rivers meet amidst colourful prayer flags. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel. In the evening, explore Norzin Lam or also called the local market at your leisure. Overnight stay in Thimphu.

After breakfast,complete immigration we will begin our sightseeing tour of Thimphu, visiting some of its most famous attractions. Our first stop will be the National Memorial Chorten, followed by the Takin Preserve Centre, where we can see Bhutan’s national animal. We will then explore the National Library and the National Textile Museum to learn more about Bhutan’s rich cultural heritage. Next, we will visit the magnificent Buddha Point, offering panoramic views of the city, and the Painting School, where traditional Bhutanese art is taught. Later, we will visit the impressive Tashichho Dzong and the interactive cultural museum, Simply Bhutan. In the evening, we will enjoy a leisurely stroll through the local market before returning for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart from Thimphu and drive to Punakha via the scenic Dochula Pass (3,088 m), offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges on clear days. Visit the 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens, built in honor of Bhutan’s peace and stability, and enjoy time to soak in the serene mountain atmosphere. Continue the drive through picturesque valleys and forests to Punakha. Upon arrival, visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong (Palace of Great Happiness), located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers, followed by a visit to the iconic Punakha Suspension Bridge, one of the longest in Bhutan. Later, visit Chimi Lhakhang, the revered Temple of Fertility, set amidst scenic rice fields and traditional villages. Overnight stay at the hotel in Punakha.

In the morning, if interested, enjoy river rafting on the female river of Punakha before driving towards Paro. The beautiful Paro Valley is home to many of Bhutan’s ancient monasteries and temples and also houses the country’s only international airport. At the northern end of the valley lies Mount Jhomolhari (7,300 meters), whose glacial waters form the Pa Chhu River flowing through the valley. Upon arrival, proceed for sightseeing in Paro, visiting Paro Dzong, Kyichu Lhakhang, Drukgyel Dzong, and the National Museum. In the evening, enjoy a stroll through the local market, followed by an overnight stay in Paro.

After breakfast at the hotel, the day is kept completely at leisure for you to relax and enjoy at your own pace. You may choose to unwind at the hotel, soak in the peaceful surroundings, or explore nearby areas independently. This free day is perfect for a slow stroll through local markets, café hopping, short nature walks, or simply spending quality time with your loved ones. For those who wish, optional sightseeing or activities can be arranged at an additional cost. Return to the hotel in the evening and enjoy a relaxed overnight stay.
After breakfast embarks on an interesting excursion to Taktshang Monastery (approx 6 hours round trip walk. It is one of the most famous of Bhutan’s monasteries, perched on the side of a cliff 900m above the Paro valley floor. Legends say that Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated at this monastery and hence it is called ‘Tiger’s Nest’. This site has been recognized as a most sacred place and visited by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal in 1646 and now visited by all Bhutanese at least once in their lifetime. Pony available at own cost. After an early breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin your drive from Paro towards Phuentsholing. Travel through the scenic mountain roads via Thimphu and Chukha, enjoying views of river valleys and forested landscapes along the way. Upon arrival at Phuentsholing, complete the necessary Bhutan exit formalities at the immigration office. After completing the procedures, continue immediately for entry from Pedestrian Terminal, with an overnight stay in Phuentsholing.

After breakfast, drive to Airport / Railway Station for your onward destination and then bid you farewell.
