Detailed Bhutan Itinerary
Day 1: IXB/NJP/Siliguri to Phuentsholing – Arrival & Immigration
Arrive at IXB/NJP/Siliguri and proceed towards the Bhutan border town of Phuentsholing. Our tour representative will welcome you and assist with the onward journey.
After reaching Jaigaon–Phuentsholing, complete the required immigration formalities and explore the town. Phuentsholing is a vibrant border destination known for its local markets and cross-border atmosphere.
In the evening, enjoy a relaxed stroll through the local market before returning to the hotel.
Overnight stay: Phuentsholing
Day 2: Phuentsholing to Thimphu – Scenic Drive & En-Route Sightseeing
After breakfast, complete the required Bhutan permit formalities with assistance from our representative. Once the permits are issued, begin your scenic drive towards Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan.
En route, visit Kharbandi Monastery, known for its peaceful surroundings and views over Phuentsholing. Continue through the Himalayan landscape with stops at Chukha Dam View Point, Gedu View Point and Wankha Waterfall.
Enjoy the changing scenery as the road climbs through forests, valleys and traditional Bhutanese settlements.
On arrival in Thimphu, check in to your hotel and relax. You may explore the local market in the evening.

Day 3: Thimphu City Tour
After breakfast, begin your sightseeing tour of Thimphu, discovering the city's cultural, spiritual and artistic attractions.
Visit the National Memorial Chorten, Takin Preserve Centre, National Library and National Textile Museum. Continue to Buddha Point, which offers panoramic views over Thimphu Valley, followed by the Painting School where traditional Bhutanese art is taught.
Later, visit the impressive Tashichho Dzong and Simply Bhutan, an interactive cultural experience showcasing Bhutanese traditions and lifestyle.
End the day with a leisurely visit to the local market.

Day 4: Thimphu to Punakha – Dochula Pass & Sightseeing
After breakfast, depart Thimphu for Punakha through the scenic Dochula Pass at approximately 3,088 metres.
On the way, visit the 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens and enjoy the peaceful mountain surroundings. Continue towards Punakha through beautiful valleys and forested mountain roads.
After reaching Punakha, visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong, located at the meeting point of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. Later, explore the iconic Punakha Suspension Bridge.
Continue to Chimi Lhakhang, also known as the Temple of Fertility, surrounded by traditional villages and scenic rice fields.

Day 5: Punakha – Phobjikha Valley Excursion
After breakfast, set out for a full-day excursion to the peaceful Phobjikha Valley.
Known for its wide-open landscapes and natural beauty, Phobjikha offers a refreshing escape into the Himalayan countryside. Visit Gangtey Goempa, a magnificent monastery overlooking the valley.
You will also visit the Black-Necked Crane Information Centre, where you can learn about the rare migratory birds associated with the valley.
Enjoy the valley views, nature trails and local surroundings before beginning the return journey to Punakha in the evening.

Day 6: Punakha to Paro – En-Route Sightseeing
After breakfast, check out and drive towards Paro.
En route, visit Lamperi Botanical Park and Tamchog Iron Bridge. Enjoy the changing Himalayan scenery during the drive before continuing towards Paro.
On arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing or exploring the surroundings at your own pace.

Day 7: Paro – Tiger’s Nest Monastery Hike
After breakfast, prepare for one of the most memorable experiences of your Bhutan Tour Package – the excursion to Taktshang Monastery, popularly known as Tiger’s Nest.
The monastery is dramatically located on a cliff approximately 900 metres above the Paro Valley. The round-trip hike takes several hours and requires a reasonable level of fitness.
The monastery is one of Bhutan’s most famous and sacred sites, associated with Guru Rinpoche and the spiritual history of Bhutan.
A pony can be arranged at an additional cost, subject to availability and applicable conditions.
After completing the excursion, return to Paro and relax.

Day 8: Paro – Haa Valley & Chele La Pass Excursion
After breakfast, proceed for a scenic excursion towards Haa Valley via Chele La Pass, one of the highest motorable passes in Bhutan.
Enjoy spectacular Himalayan landscapes and views of the surrounding valleys along the route. In Haa Valley, visit Lhakhang Karpo and Lhakhang Nagpo, two important temples with cultural and spiritual significance.
You will also visit the Mini Tiger’s Nest viewpoint and enjoy the peaceful mountain surroundings.
After sightseeing, drive back to Paro in the evening.

Day 9: Paro to Phuentsholing – Sightseeing & Transfer
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin your journey towards Phuentsholing.
Before departing Paro, visit some of the valley's notable attractions, including Paro Dzong, Kyichu Lhakhang, Drukgyel Dzong and the National Museum.
Continue the scenic drive towards Phuentsholing. Upon arrival, enjoy a leisurely stroll through the local market and experience the lively atmosphere of this border town.

Day 10: Phuentsholing to IXB/NJP/Siliguri – Departure
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed towards Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station / Siliguri for your onward journey.
